The selected candidate will home office and will have fundraising responsibilities in Brazos and Bell counties.

The successful candidate(s) will plan, implement, and evaluate several annual events: (1) Go Red for Women luncheon, (2) Heart Walks, and (2) Galas. These events will combine to raise approximately 360k by bringing together corporate partners, medical leaders, community leaders, and volunteers of the community to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke, the number #1 and #3 killer of Americans.

Responsibilities include:

' Conducting sales calls to generate new business and manage existing partnerships
' Developing relationships with volunteers, sponsors & key corporate & community leaders
' Goal setting with corporate companies and individuals to raise funds and awareness
' Coordinating event efforts
' Networking within the local area, and recruiting and retaining our valued volunteers

Required Experience

Qualified candidates should have a college degree or equivalent experience; minimum 3 years experience in volunteer management and/or managing community programs; demonstrated history of building and maintaining customer relationships; excellent presentation skills, including development of presentations and understanding of technology; skilled in written and oral communications and computer experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Frequent travel required, including some overnights.
