IRS Virtual Information Session Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

The IRS is committed to cultivating a diverse workforce by strengthening its ability to recruit, hire, develop, promote, and retain our nation’s talent and remove barriers to equal opportunity employment. We celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15) to recognize the achievements and contributions of Hispanic American champions who have inspired others to achieve success. The observation began in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day period. It was enacted into law on August 17, 1988. The theme for 2022 is "Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation." National Archives.

During this virtual information session, we will discuss the historical importance of Hispanic Heritage Month, discuss IRS career opportunities, and share resources to assist you with your job search. You will learn about IRS benefits, effective resume writing, and the application process. You will also hear from employees about their personal experiences working for the Service. All are welcome!
