Purpose of the job:

Manage the sustainability and implementation of the Americas Region EHS certifications ensuring legal compliance and continuous improvement based on the company's external and internally developed indicators to maintain the management system. This position will also manage, support and conduct Alstom's AZDP (Alstom Zero Deviation Plan) audits and assessments across the America's Region.

Ensential Responsibilities

  • Ensure regulatory and legal protection for operational continuity
  • Maintain and manage current certifications and implement future certifications
  • Maintain the management system (ISO 14001 & 45001)
  • Maintain EHS files and records.
  • EHS Legal Compliance Tasks (Audits, inspections, documentation and reporting)
  • Record Keeping and file management * Internal company reporting on EHS related areas
  • Help implement new programs, policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to Alstom'sEHS Strategy definition
  • Contribute to Alstom's EHS Delivery Plan with theneeds identified at central level and the America'sRegion
  • Lead Cross-Region initiatives (when nominated) as defined by the EHS Head of America's
  • Define EHS legal and compliance road maps, develop standards, methods and tools for the America's management system
  • Participate to the elaboration of EHS objectives, initiate and develop programs for the America'sin line with "Alstom in Motion" strategy.
  • Defining the necessaryBudget analysis to conduct audits and inspections within the America's Region.
  • Travel to Alstom sites and project sites (up to 50%)
  • All other duties as deemed necessary.

Ensure legal watch for EHS Management system.

  • Contribute to the construction of a global EHS Alstom Management System (ISO 14001 and 45001).
  • Support standardization and consistency of EHS processes across the Region, support EHS process integration and implementation.

Educational Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 1-2 years previous EHS site experience OR
  • Associate's degree from an accredited university or college with 3-4 years previous EHS site experience
  • Lead ISO 14001& ISO 45001 certifications
  • Recognized Health and Safety Qualification to Diploma or Degree level
  • Environmental Qualification to Diploma or Degree level
  • Six Sigma training and or certifications Green or Black Belt.

Competencies & Skills

  • Previous Environmental Permit Management & Maintenance experience
  • Waste Inventory Management experience (Haz, Non-Haz, other)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must have analytical and problem solving ability
  • Strong project management skills
  • Knowledge of chemicals
  • Experience in multi-cultural environment & Matrix Organization.

Salary Range: 80,000 -120,000
