Description

RISE is seeking a Field Technician to support utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs in multifamily residential buildings. This position that will report to the Field Supervisor working out of our Rochester, NY office.


* Install CFL and LED lighting, programmable thermostats, and water conservation measures
* Record data and complete installation paperwork
* Explain program objectives to apartment tenants
* Travel throughout the service territory (some overnight travel may be required)
* Complete tasks within set timelines and adapt quickly to change
* Adhere to the company's safety policies and procedures
* Driving distances of up to 150-200 miles to reach work area (company vehicle provided)

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. May be requested to work additional hours as determined by the needs of the department.

Travel:
Frequent travel throughout assigned territory on a daily basis.

Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
* At least one year of experience in construction or facility maintenance
* Excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A commitment to and enthusiasm for energy efficiency
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record
* Physically able to fulfill job functions, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
* Able to pass criminal background and drug screening tests
* Knowledge of green building, energy efficiency practices and/or multifamily building maintenance relevant post-high-school studies preferred.
